All Timberland programs are free of charge unless otherwise noted. Anyone needing special accommodations to participate in a library's program may contact the library one week in advance.

Ongoing library programs: Story Times

Readiness for reading and school, positive experiences among families and friends, and growth in the connection between libraries, learning and joy: these are some of the objectives of library story time programs for children from birth to Kindergarten. Following are the regular story time program series being held this season at local Timberland Regional Libraries.

Toddler Story Time

For 2 year-olds, accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver. Programs include simple stories, rhymes, songs and movement games that children and adults can enjoy together.

Preschool Story Time

For children ages 3 to 6. Join in a program of stories, rhymes, songs and movement games. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to join in.

Naselle Timberland Library presents PageTurners Book Discussion, 10
a.m.-noon, Nov. 1 for adults. Join in a discussion of "The Savage
Detectives" by Roberto Bolaño. Books are available for check out at the

Raymond Timberland Library presents Popcorn and a Movie, 5:30-8 p.m., Nov. 3
for all ages. Relax, have some popcorn and watch a movie with friends. This

Tuesday, November 4

Naselle Timberland Library presents Family Story Time, noon-12:30 p.m., Nov.
4 for all ages. Stories, rhymes, songs and movement games will focus mainly

The Friends and the Board of the Raymond Timberland Library will meet from 5
to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4. Everyone is welcome to attend the monthly meeting

South Bend Timberland Library presents Fairy Folk, 6:30-7:30 p.m., Nov. 4
for all ages. Discover the enchanted world of the fairy folk. Dress in a

Naselle Timberland Library presents My Ties to Cowboy Poetry, 1-2 p.m., Nov.
8 for adults & teens. Virgil Stortroen performs a musical program of old
cowboy and country-and-western music interspersed with humor and his
award-winning poetry. Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Naselle

Sunday, November 9

South Bend Timberland Library presents Biofuels- A "Growing" Economy, 2-3:30
p.m., Nov. 9 for adults. Bringing 30 years of study and research on
alternative fuels, Alan Richrod examines the types of biofuels, how they are
used, how they are made and in some cases, how you can make them. He also
discusses shifting from a petroleum economy. For more information call (360)

All Timberland Libraries will be closed Tuesday, Nov. 11 for Veterans Day.
