The Eagle’s Wing Organization for the month of March is
The ASSISTANCE LEAGUE
WHO are they?
The assistance league is an all volunteer organization focused on promoting self-esteem, comfort, safety and the emotional well being of the children in our schools.
The FACTS:
Many of the children attending our schools are dealing with problems including drug addicted homes, poverty and abuse.
The poverty level in Astoria, Seaside and Warrenton schools is at an average of 50%.
In Astoria alone, there are 34 homeless children.
The Assistance League’s Operation School Bell provides new school clothing to children whose attendance and performance have been adversely affected by a lack of suitable clothing.
The Assistance League held it's
