Several groups have advocated the wearing of red on Fridays to "Support the Troops". Wearing red on Fridays is meant to be a non partisan act by someone to show their support for Armed Forces abroad regardless of where they are or under what circumstances they were deployed. This is specifically used in the U.S. to show support of troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, and anywhere else.
.
You will likely receive the reply, "We need your support and prayers." If you ask a uniformed member of the U.S. military what you can do for them....
In addition to those prayers and your support, You can also show your support of the troops by example: HOW?
Many Americans simply want a way to show support for their troops.
Americans showing support for the troops with dignity and respect will continue to wear RED
EVERY FRIDAY UNTIL OUR TROOPS COME HOME.
Wearing red can include any article of clothing or accessory such as ribbons, lapel pins, hats etc.
